Facilities

Wi-Fi CAMPUS

• The JBIT campus has been interconnected through Wired as well as Wireless (Wi-Fi) Networks. The facilities provide access to the internet, intranet, and institution-based e-mail. The coverage of Wi-Fi is not restricted to classrooms alone but also extends to common areas like lawns, auditoriums, and library, cafeteria, and student hostels. With this infrastructure, the students of JBIT have access to all e-learning materials related to academics. In addition, online access to various reference books, journals, international papers has also been made available for the benefit of students.

Central library

• The JBIT library collectively supports the teaching, research and extension programmers of the institute. The Library, besides having a huge collection of books on Engineering, Science, Technology and Humanities offers Library services through its various divisions. We have attempted to make the JBIT Library a 21st century knowledge based society of tomorrow. JBIT Library shall continue to adapt to challenging new demands and provides a professional and conducive learning atmosphere for the empowerment of its users. The Library has subscribed for 84 National/ International Journals & Magazine. JBIT Library is a member of DELNET (Developing Library Network) New Delhi. It aims to collect, store, and disseminate information besides offering computerized services to users, to coordinate efforts for suitable collection development and also reduce unnecessary duplication wherever possible.

 ERP system

• In order to enhance the efficiency & quality in all the functional areas in the college, ERP system has been implemented in the college campus. Facilities offered by the ERP package are availed by the faculty, staff and students/parents. “SMS alert” are being sent to the parents on a daily basis or on a necessity basis. Attendance/Sessional Marks/Assignments /Teacher Notes/Video-Lectures are being uploaded in the portal for the students to refer to them or download them at their own convenience. Parents have access to this portal and can see the performance of their wards.

Modern language lab

• A Language Lab in extremely helpful to students of engineering who should be ready to shape their careers anywhere in the world. At our Language Lab students are given a brief introduction to Linguistics and Phonetics. Then they are ready to develop world-class communication skills in English using the facilities provided here.

 Problem-Solving Tutorial

• This weekly, 2-hour, tutorial class will focus on problem-solving equations related to math, engineering, and sciences. The lab portion of the class does include a group project. This course is taken in each semester that a student is enrolled in compulsory.

Faculty guardian for students

• We believe not only in educating our students but also in parenting them. The teacher-guardian scheme is defined by the following activities: Providing emotional support to students on an individual basis. Helping students overcome homesickness. Establishing rapport between teachers, students & parents. Monitoring attendance and behavioral aspects of every student. Identifying weak areas and working out remedies helping students thereby taking their complete care.

 ATM Facility

• To facilitate the banking facility for the student as well as faculty staff and other college family members, we have ATM facility in the college premises.

Hostel

• The Institution has four on-campus boys hostel with a capacity of over 500 students and one girl's hostel block with a capacity of over 150 students. The hostel premises are wi-fi enabled and a computer centre is set-up within the premises with 24*7 internet availability. The hostel mess is equipped with modern appliances and serves pure vegetarian nutritious and hygienic food. The wardens reside in the hostel campus and look after students with love & affection. Our deep concern for the safety and security of our students ensures that the hostels have 24*7 security.
• JBIT campus is a thriving & bubbling campus and it offers a wonderful life to its students both day scholar & hostel residents wherein students' unique capabilities will be identified and based on interest a student will get ample opportunities to contribute to cultural events sports competition, computer gaming, camps, etc.

Mess

• Our Mess is set inside a cool modern interior that offers a casual yet stylish dining atmosphere. There are separate dining halls for boys and girls. Laundry Facility

• The campus has an all-day cafeteria which ensures good refreshments for the students so that they can unwind after a busy day. Food! The mere thought of it makes you go crazy. In the lap of the lush green mountains Cafeteria is the place for all. A sip of ICE-TEA and you will get a different feeling of JBIT. The cafeteria is professionally managed by a special catering company, which is responsible for providing healthy and hygienic meals all the time

Security Guards & CCTV Surveillance System

• 24 hours security with CCTV Surveillance System & armed guards in the night.

Fitness center

• The gym is a complete fitness center that provides facilities for Fitness, Weight Reducing, Weight Gaining, Weight Training, and Executive Fitness Program.

Health and First Aid

• In JBIT we also take care of your health, as a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Regular exercise enhances the sense of mental well-being along with general physical health.

Free Treatment

• All the students are given free treatment for day to day medical problems. No consultation fee is charged. The college has tied up for the services of a leading Doctor visiting the students regularly in the college premises during college timing.

Emergency

• For emergency situation the students are sent to authorized & recognized hospitals for specialized treatment after giving first-aid. During off time, leading Hospitals and Doctors are on call to attend to any need for medical attention.

Badminton & basketball court

• A separate badminton court is located in the college premises. The court is well managed and has all the modern facilities.
• Separate Basketball ground is located on the college campus.

Cricket & football ground

• Separate football and cricket grounds are located inside the college campus. Often these are played in social or family situations, or when darkness or bad weather prevents people from moving outside.

Indoor Games

• The facility of indoor games like Table TENNIS, Carom, Chess, Badminton, Billiard, etc.

 Means of Transport

• The College has adequate buses which are made available to the students and the faculty members for commuting from various points in the city and also from the suburbs like Vikasnagar, Selaqui, Herbertpur, Kalsi, Paonta to the campus and back. All students should make use of college transport or should stay in the hostel. This facility has made it possible to start the classes in time and thereby helping the academic process. Our bus facilities have enabled us to maintain discipline among students.

Srijan

• A two days annual techno-cultural event of JBIT provides a great platform for students to showcase their talent. The campus host various national & international events, cultural programmes, music concerts, plays, flash mobs etc during entire academic year.
