At our background, we have Digital Magic Visuals (I) Ltd, 3D Animation & post-production studio which provides its services for both film & video industry for more than a decade. With the guidance of M. Arul Moorthy, founder & the Managing Director, Digital Magic has been at the heart of innovation, with many achievements in the creative arena of the industry. Many technicians - Animators, Editors, Visual Effects Artists who have been inspired and trained by him, are holding very good positions both inside and outside India.

Facilities:

DAVINCI Media College is located in the center of the Kollywood production industry. You can never see a facility like Davinci anywhere, where the boundary between the production facility and the institute does not exist. And this approach has helped our students to really understand the industry well and apply their mind as they know what they are studying.

Computer Lab:

 Latest computers with i5 / i7 processors with graphics card, 4 / 6 GB RAM, and 23 inch LED monitors are standard at our Lab. The latest version of the software is installed and the systems are maintained in perfect working condition.

Green Screen Studio:

VFX is not possible without a green screen studio. At Davinci, a ready to shoot green screen studio with the lights, Camera, Track, mini Steady Cam is available for the students at drop the hat.

DI Suite:

Imagine a real working DI facility for the students to practice, with perfectly calibrated monitor, Control Panel and a whopping 15 TB storage.

Smoke Suite:

Perfectly matched hardware with necessary RAM, Graphics Card and Storage gives the students, the professional experience while working on the Smoke Suite.

Editing Lab:

Both Avid and FCP labs with the necessary storage, memory and the graphics cards forms the editing suites FCP is on the Mac systems, while the AVIDs are based on the windows 7 PCs.

Projection Room:

Students enjoy watching the movies as a group in the theatrical environment with surround sound. Our projection room gives the same experience, where the students after viewing the movies, get to discuss about the various tricks that are applied in the movies.

Environment:

 A good mix of boys and girls from India and abroad form the students at Davinci. While we are very serious about the education, we give equal importance to keep the atmosphere friendly and creative. Students spend their free time in reading at the Library which is stacked with various books covering technical, artistic and aesthetics of the various subjects that are covered at Davinci.

Instructor:

Our Faculties are industry professionals. They have experienced the real art of Animation, Visual Effects in projects ranging from Hollywood to Bollywood to Hollywood. This is the only way, where they know the real need for a practical based curriculum, and deliver to the students. To keep this energy, they participate in the real projects all the time. And they get the students involved in these projects. This has helped the students to understand the needs of the industry, and they have adapted their learning accordingly.

And our faculties are continuously learning the latest in terms techniques and technologies all the time. They have all the resources made available from the management so that they acquire knowledge, practice them, and pass to the students. They are also continuously evaluated by the management. Since the management is real professionals in this field, they guide the faculties as per what is happening in the Indian and International market place.
