About State Institute of Urban Planning and Architecture

The Integrated Institutional Campus at Rohtak comprises of 4 Institutions namely State Institute of Fashion & Design (SIFD), State Institute of Fine Arts (SIFA), State Institute of Film &TV (SIF&TV) and State Institute of Urban Planning and Architecture. These institutions are being established at a capital expenditure of Rs.300.0 crores by Govt. of Haryana through Government Technical Institution Society, Rohtak.There are 4 individual institution buildings with one central block having Auditorium, Art Gallery, cafeteria and guest House. The campus is designed by internationally renowned architect Raj Rewal and M/s RITES company of Government of India is Project Management Consultant. For residential campus one site has been identified at Sector-6 HUDA and one site of 15 acres is already in possession at a distance of 5 km. from institutional campus. The first phase of residential campus is likely to be completed by July 2012. For current academic session the process for providing leased accommodation is in the progress.Institution buildings are provided with Lecture Theatre, Conference Room / Seminar Halls, Library, Computer Centre, Art & Film, TV studios , workshop , Labs, Sports Facilities , Open Air Theatre , Production Facilities, Preview Theatre etc. as per need of programme.
