About Rural Computer Training Academy - RCTA

Rural Computer Training Academy - RCTA Technical education has already transformed millions of lives in India and is fuelling economic growth across all its sectors. But there still are several pockets of rural India left behind by the technological revolution and where the modernization of the education system is still a fancy dream. It is not that students here lack the willingness to study; what they do not receive is the opportunity to study and the availability of quality yet affordable educational resources.

Rural Computer Training Academy - RCTA is a non-profit organization committed towards the quality computer education to young generation living in villages. The organization aims to provide three types of training: (a) Basic computer literacy; (b) Computer as a tool for learning in schools and home; (c) Training in hardware.

Currently RCTA are running six computer centres at different location that provide basic computer literacy. Around 1000 students are learning computers in different computer centres through this program. RCTA and another collaborating organization are also running computer education program in schools in rural areas.  Currently this program is operating in through out karnataka.

Many students get job opportunities after going through the RCTA computer education program and have gotten jobs in reputed firms, schools and computer centres. In the coming year two more centres will be started and the program will also include Web designing & Adobe Photoshop training. RCTA is also in the process of publishing a book on MS-office assignments which will be provided to students for practical work during the course.
