SMS College of Paramedical Sciences offers Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician DMLT Course. It is a two-year diploma course. The College got established in the year 2017.

Approvals & Affiliations:- The college is approved by Rajasthan Paramedical Council, Jaipur and Government of Rajasthan.

Admission criteria:- The institute has an intake of 50 students every year. All the 50 seats are filled through counseling conducted by Rajasthan Paramedical council, Jaipur. The council issues advertisement generally in the month of June-July for submitting applications online for admission in various Paramedical courses. Colleges are allotted on the basis of merit of 12 percentages. After all the rounds of online counseling if seats remain vacant in any college then off-line counseling is conducted in which direct admission at college level takes place.

Fee:- 35000/- per year

Scholarships:-

• Full scholarship to [SC, ST, OBC(BPL), SBC, ] candidates as per the norms of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Rajasthan.
• Partial scholarship to minority candidates.

Scope of DMLT

Medical technologists are an integral part of the medical profession. These professionals get involved in practical and technical work to aid correct diagnosis and effective functioning of Biochemical Laboratories.

The career prospects in this field depend on the academic and technical skills of the technologist/technician. Initially he/she joins any laboratory as a certified medical laboratory technician. These days with the growth in the private sector there are so many private hospitals, nursing homes, blood banks, pathology laboratories etc. the demand for laboratory technicians is on the up-swing.

In current scenario there is huge gap between demand and supply of registered Medical lab. Technician in Govt. and private sectors. Less number of candidates are available than the number of vacancies created by Government sectors.

With adequate knowledge and experience, Medical Laboratory Technologists can advance to supervisory or management positions in laboratories and hospitals. They can also work as Laboratory manager/Consultant/supervisor, health care Administrator, Hospital Outreach coordination, laboratory information system Analyst/Consultant, educational consultant / coordinator etc. Additional opportunities are available in molecular diagnostics, molecular biotechnology companies and in vitro fertilization laboratories as well as in research labs.

College Infrastructure and features: The college has its unique features and quality. We believe in nurturing students not only regarding his profession, but also his overall and complete personality development.

With all the nursing subjects, the well qualified and experienced teaching faculties of the college also focus on additional aspects of personality development of the students with the help of various cultural programs, seminars, workshops etc.

Our goal is to shape every aspect of every student's personality and we also focus on the importance of the English and communications skills. Teaching faculty and management directors are also very cooperative to students.

Infrastructural, we are having well-equipped Laboratories, fully furnished Class rooms, Big Seminar Hall, Large play grounds, Library and transportation facilities.

Clinical Training: Clinical Trainings of the college students are conducted in Government and Private Pathology Labs.

Transportation: College Bus facility is available for students.

Admission are open for the new academic session of 2020-2021.  We have no donation policy for admission in the college. Fees can be submitted in installments.
