About Alliance Business School

Alliance Business School formerly known as Alliance Business Academy was founded in 1996. It offers programs in management and information technology. Alliance Business School has some of the finest faculty and staff members, each one a specialist in her or his chosen field, and each one who shares the core values and vision of ALLIANCE. Besides developing a forward-looking, contemporary curriculum, faculty members constantly strive to bring about innovations in the learning process through the use of global and Indian cases, simulations, role plays, presentations, individual and group assignments, field-work and mini projects, to name a few. Faculty members enhance the nature of the teacher – student relationship by actively being involved in counselling, mentoring and self improvement initiatives.Alliance Business School has a range of articulation agreements with accredited universities and business schools across the world. While some are specific in terms of allowing students to complete an internship or a semester and transfer the credits earned, others are generic – allowing for student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research and exchange of curriculum. Alliance offers several rigorous academic programs. The flagship program of Alliance Business School is the PGPM with a global perspective and focus. The PGPM is designed to equip its graduates with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to be successful as managers and/or entrepreneurs. It is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education, USA.

Alliance Business School has an infrastructure that is comparable to any other anywhere. Built on 40 acres of land on The Chandapur – Anekal Road, the world-class campus has several outstanding features. These include the first “Green” educational campus in Bangalore, over 650000 square feet of built area, learning centre with amphitheatre and air conditioned class rooms, spacious seminar halls for interaction with practitioners and professionals, an information technology backbone a futuristic library, halls of residence for students – for girls and boys, residential accommodation for faculty and staff, food court, MDP Hostel, administrative block, departmental store, fitness centre, recreational facilities, health care centre, bank / ATM etc.

Alliance International Summer School - International Summer Program focuses on Emerging Economies: A Case Study of India. This program is a unique blend of business and cultural offering for international students. It provides an opportunity to undertake a demanding in-depth study of India as an Emerging Economy. The program is complemented by an extensive cultural activities and visits to various business organizations. Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU), Silberman College of Business and Alliance Business School jointly offer an International Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program. This course will provide students with an overview of key trends, opportunities and challenges of doing business in India. Facilities

Continuing Education Program - Alliance offers short-term courses in the fields of Computer Studies and Specialized Management Studies for working professionals. Students enrolled at Alliance can pursue these additional studies due to their own personal interests or to further their career goals. The subjects covered by the CEP may complement  main studies or perhaps give a chance to extend the knowledge of other disciplines.

Career Advisory Service - The Career Advisory Service helps with ideas and information about careers, further study, voluntary work, vacation jobs and part-time jobs. The service is provided throughout the year for the students, giving advice on career, decision making, job hunting, writing job applications and preparing for interviews. It also offers students the opportunity for informal one-to-one discussions with career advisor's at any time.

Counselling Service - The Counselling Service helps in settling into life in Bangalore and at Alliance. It is used whenever any personal difficulties comes up. Counselling involves talking freely and openly under conditions of complete confidentiality and privacy with a trained counsellor. One can  bring to the Counsellor any concern  including anxiety about study, relationships, loss or worries about your future. Any student is welcome to use the Counselling Service and may discuss any issue or concern they may have during their time at Alliance.

Centre for Industry Interaction (CII) - The Centre for Industry Interaction caters to the ever increasing need to bridge the gap between industry and academic practices. The expertise that leading and experienced professionals bring to the table in the form of guest lectures has proven to be a valuable source of inspiration to students who aspire to be business practitioners themselves. These lectures are held on a weekly basis and they are always interactive in nature, providing students with ample opportunity to imbibe critical concepts. Faculty and staff of Alliance attend these interactive sessions to hone their skills in the area of management.

Scholarships - Some of these include:

  • The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) - Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) - The German Academic Exchange Service, in order to facilitate and support student exchange between Berlin School of Economics and Alliance Business School, has sponsored the Student Exchange Program. Through DAAD, scholarships will be awarded to exchange students. The scholarships will include the following monthly stipend, allowance for health insurance and travel allowance.
  • Study Abroad Scholarship - In order to encourage students to study abroad, Alliance Business School awards Scholarship to academically talented students who enroll in international programs.

Student Fitness Centre - Apart from class-room discussions and case-study analysis sessions, students come here to informally discuss and deliberate while running on a treadmill or while lifting weights. This fitness centre adds to the numerous indoor and outdoor sports facilities that students at Alliance use to keep themselves active.

Health Services - Routine check-ups can prevent major ailments. All students are registered with the Alliance Health Centre. The institute has a fully equipped health care unit on Campus.

Cultural Activities - Students of Alliance organize myriads of cultural programs, blending the gracious old with the buzzing new, and combining tradition with vibrance. The cultural panorama is a like a lyrical ballad that unfolds music, art, concerts, exhibitions, and haute couture fashion shows among other things. It is a vast web of interconnected activities, which includes intellectual and creative aspects of society and culture and these serve as a spring board into the real world of experiential cultural interaction.

Alumni - The seeds for the transformation are sown during the students’ stay at Alliance Business School. By assuming process ownership for a variety of activities ranging from the academic to the extra-curricular to the cultural, students form strong bonds of friendship. This bond is carried forward through the alumni association and alumni network once students embark on their careers. The Alliance Business School Alumni Association is an excellent forum to keep in touch with your alma mater, inform the institute how they are progressing as a professional, learn how their institution is achieving its strategic intent and above all reinforce the friendships which were formed during the at Alliance Business School while forming new ones.

Gyandhara - Alliance Business School has an e-bulletin called Gyandhara. This has carved a niche for itself by setting new standards for in-house bulletins and has been very well received by the academic fraternity.

Recognizing the potential of Alliance Business School to be a world-class institution, and also to spread the awareness and need for quality benchmarking and accreditation, the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education, USA, has nominated Alliance Business School to represent the Assembly in South Asia. This is indeed a rare honour for an Indian institution.
  • Alliance is also the First and Only business school outside the United States of America to be recognized with the coveted “GOLD AWARD” for Quality by the American Society for Quality, the world’s premier organization of quality professionals.
