Maa Institute of Speech and Hearing (MISH) is a comprehensive multi-purpose institute focusing on the identification, intervention, rehabilitation and education of individuals with speech and hearing disorders. MISH hosts a unique hospital campus which has students and staff with diverse abilities.

MISH was established in the year 2019 offering the undergraduate program (Bachelors of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology) which now includes 3 years of degree course followed by a 10-month Internship program.

The College is Affiliated to Osmania University and is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The field of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology is dedicated to the understanding of normal communication and hearing processes and the application of that knowledge to the identification, treatment and prevention of communication disorders in children and adults.

The college has mainly 4 units:

1. Audiology
2. Speech Diagnostics
3. Speech Therapy
4. Cochlear Implant

Audiology mainly focuses on hearing evaluation and rehabilitation, whereas speech diagnostics and speech therapy focus on the assessment of speech, language problems and rehabilitation respectively. MAA Institute of Speech and Hearing aims for quality and innovative services in terms of clinical as well as academic aspects. A preset action plan helps to develop and deploy effective implementation of the curriculum. Qualified teachers upgrade and update their professional acumen for effectively translating the curriculum by attending workshops, training programs and seminars.
