AISSMS Institute of Information Technology, Pune, was Established in August 1999. AISSMS stands for All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society which manages the College affairs. The College was formerly known as Women's College of Engineering and was open for Girls only. But now it is Co-Educational College. It is a self financing College and is affiliated to University of Pune. It is approved by AICTE and Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State. The location of the College in the city enhances the traditional classroom experience by providing students greater resources, contact with business and academic authorities, employment possibilities and internships. The College has well qualified and dedicated staff with good infrastructure facilities in the form of well equipped Laboratories in all the branches.

Location - The College is centrally Located in the heart of Pune City. It  is about 1 KM from Pune and Shivaji Nagar Railway Stations. The Nearest Airport is Lohegaon. Click here for Google Map Location.

Facilities

Hostel - The College has good Hostel facility that can accommodate up to 200 girl students. Each student is provided with a cot, a chair, a table and suitable storage facility. Hostel has a specious dinning hall where healthy, delicious meals are provided at reasonable rates. Estimated cost of Boarding Rs.1500/- per month per head and cost of Lodging is Rs. 1500/- per month.

Library - The Library has about 12,000 volumes of books and 2200 titles in the stack.

Facilities:

• Book Bank - For SC/ST students separate section of books is managed. Under this section 5 books can be issued to these students per year. About 550 books are available under this section.

• Periodical Section - The Library has subscribed to about 25 national and 33 international journals. IEEE Transactions, EEMA journals and other international society publications are the important information sources available in this section. All leading newspapers and other monthly magazines are also available.

• Digital Library and E-Resources - Internet access is available to the students in the Library. The College has paid subscription to the e-resources under the INDEST-AICTE Consortium. The Library has access to IEEE transactions by user name and password. The students can download the e-journals of IEEE.

• Reading Halls - Two separate Reading Halls are provided for faculty members and students. The reading hall for the students is airy, well-illuminated and spacious to accommodate up to 100 students.

Multi Purpose Hall - The College has a spacious Multi-Purpose Hall with a seating capacity of 500. The Hall is used as a venue for organization of various College functions. The Open-Air Theatre with capacity of 300 is provided on the ground floor. The students use this facility for road shows, one-act plays, and departmental functions.   

Laboratories - Each Department has it's own Laboratories which provide all the necessary facilities.

1.  Computer Engineering Laboratories - These are equipped with IBM X3650 Server, Desktop PC’s, Printers, LCD Projector etc.

Laboratories include:

1. Project and Linux Lab.
2. Software & Internet Lab.
3. Internet Lab.
4. Microprocessor and Hardware Lab.
5. Advanced Software Lab.

2.  Electronics Engineering Laboratories - These have various instruments like - Digital Trainer Kit, Dual Power Supply, 20 MHz Function Generator etc.

Laboratories include:

1. Digital & Microprocessor Lab.
2. Power Electronics & Medical Electronics Lab.
3. Electronic Circuit Lab.
4. VLSI and Embedded Lab.
5. Communication System Lab.
6. LIC and Measurement Lab.

3.  Instrumentation Engineering Laboratories - Some of the special instruments available with the department Laboratories are Digital Storage Oscilloscope of Make: Yokogawa; Various Level, Pressure and Flow Control Loops etc.

Laboratories include:

• Control System.
• Process Instrumentation Laboratory.
• Sensors and Transducers Laboratory.
• Electronic Instrumentation Laboratory.
• Analog and Digital Techniques Laboratory.
• Project Laboratory.

4.  Electrical Engineering Laboratory - It's infrastructure includes well-lit-airy, well equipped, highly spacious five laboratories, special departmental library, audio visual/project room and specious administrative area and 2 separate class rooms.

Laboratories include:

• Electrical Machines, Drives & Power Electronics Laboratory.
• Measurement & Instrumentation Laboratory.
• Microprocessor & Control System Laboratory.
• Switchgear Protection & Power System Laboratory.

Sports - The College has its own play ground with facilities for playing cricket, football,volleyball, basketball,athletics etc. Facilities for indoor games like table tennis, badminton, chess, carom etc. are also provided.

T & P Cell - Training & Placement Cell trains students in aptitude skills, communication skills and techniques for GD & PI. The Placement Cell is dedicated to conducting campus interviews, to identify probable employers, making correspondence with by sending brochures, visiting companies. Experts from industries are invited to guide the students on latest technology, expectations from industries and different career options. T & P Cell also acts as information source for opportunity in higher education and their qualifying examinations such as GATE, CAT, GRE etc. College students have been absorbed in companies like Infosys, Accenture, L & T, Wipro, Satyam, Areva T & D etc.
