About Magarpatta Institute of Hospitality Management - MIHM

Magarpatta Institute of Hospitality Management (MIHM) was established in the year 2017. We are the educational wing of the parent company Magarpatta Clubs & Resorts Pvt. Ltd. which was established in 2003. We are, proudly, ‘one of its kind’ institute in the country, which belongs to a company that is present in every business vertical of the hospitality sector.  

We are located in a prime commercial district of Pune which is surrounded by world-class hotels, malls, corporate & IT parks and many more, just within 5 kms radius, providing ample opportunity for internship and placement of our students.

We have the modern and updated infrastructure for learning. We have more than 40,000 sq.ft of facilities which will enable our students to experience the classroom as well as on-field training. Our faculty have more than a decade each of industry and teaching experience. We include current industry trends, apply modern pedagogy in order to provide a futuristic learning environment.

Infrastructure-

Kitchen: The kitchen is well designed, spacious and well equipped to provide training to students in food preparation and create industry-ready individuals.

Basic Training Kitchen- Basic training kitchen is for beginners, students spend most of their time learning to prepare food through actual practice. They learn the skills & techniques of use of equipment.

Indian Quantity Kitchen- Quantity training kitchen is for preparing bulk cooking & cooking in a large volumes of various food of all parts of India. Quantity food for parties, functions, theme, buffet, banquets includes various course are always included in learning programme. Training programme often include menu planning, determination of portion sizes, food cost, storage of food and use.

Advanced Training Kitchen- Advanced training kitchen teaches all international dishes of every part of world. Main aims to have good hand on combing flavor, with various ingredients. Dishing out dish, variety manner and serving with high end plating, and presentation is of prime focus in this department. All the 3rd year students gets hand on experience in this kitchen.

Bread Arts- The bread art lab provides students on various international bread, hands on experiments to explore the flavor and the faculty and staff provide a scientific assessment. Bread lab research is redefining bread and taking the lead about developing new products and mealtime experiences.

Confectionary Lab- Confectionary is mostly used for preparing various artistic work in cake decoration, muffins, cupcakes and various dessert, garnishes, decoration, chocolate work, show pieces. All students are trained in confectionary show their culinary skills.

Larder Kitchen- Larder is cold kitchen, in this kitchen students gets the hand on preparing various cold cuts, carving of vegetables, sculpture, ice- carving. All the students gets hand on practice in this laboratory.

Food and beverage service- Food & beverage service mainly trains the students about food and beverage service to guests.

Basic Training Restaurant- The basic training restaurant is a beautifully is laid out with capacity of 30- covers. This restaurant lays the foundation for the new comers & teaches them the basic of Food & beverages services. Lectures on table-service, napkins folds, American Service, Silver service are the some few aspects touched by this restaurant.

Advanced Training Restaurant and Bar- The Institute provides well equipped and well-furnished training restaurant and Bar.

Here the students can do the

Practical in Room Service, Banquets, Table Service, and Beverage Service and so on. The training includes various cocktails and mocktails. The students are trained to excel in fine dining & related etiquettes and service standard.

Accommodations Operations and Housekeeping

To understand great service, it is critical to learn the art of making guests feel welcome. Our mock hotel room lets you simulate the role of an Executive House keeper. The department of housekeeping consists of the laundry, florist, guest rooms etc. Here the students get an intensive training on the process of learning. Students understand the importance of cleanliness transforming the beautiful flowers to exotic bouquets and the delicate business of making a guest feel at home.
