IGNOU to launch culinary institute by 2012

New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will soon be launching a culinary arts institute in order to set the highest parameters of culinary research, development and documentation said, a university official  on Tuesday.

IGNOU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sweden's Gothenburg University, Sweden for the Institute of Culinary Arts (ICA), which would be set up by July 2012.

According to the official communique, The ICA will be launched with three-year degree programmes in Culinary Arts, Culinary Management and Catering Technology and one year Diploma Programmes in Food Production and Patisserie as well as Food Processing.
