Gujarat to get 2 more medical schools soon

Gujarat is likely to get two more medical colleges by next year. The state has applied to Medical Council of India (MCI) for the institutes in Junagadh and Himmatnagar. Officials said the state government applied for these colleges through its trust, Gujarat Medical Education Research Society (GMERC).

The application for the medical college in Himmatnagar has been completed and sent to MCI while the application for Junagadh Medical College will be completed and sent soon. The last date for applying for college permissions is March 31. Once the application is made, MCI teams will be sent for inspection
