Symbiosis to set up vocational university in Madhya Pradesh

Symbiosis Group is going to open vocational university in Madhya Pradesh. The information was given during a meeting between director Symbiosis Open University Swati  Majumdar and MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here on Tuesday. Chief Minister said the state government will extend cooperation in establishment of vocational university in Madhya Pradesh.

Chouhan said Symbiosis should select land for the proposed university. Stress is being laid in Madhya Pradesh on development of skill manpower. Special efforts are underway to provide jobs to youths. For this, Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojna is being launched.

Majumdar informed that Symbiosis wishes to establish a skill development-based vocational university. Skill development is the need of hour. Symbiosis has established 17 campuses throughout India. Additional chief secretary PK Dash, additional chief secretary Ajita Bajpai Pandey, secretary revenue Ajit Kesri, principal secretary to CM Manoj Shrivastava and secretary to CM, SK Mishra were present on the occasion.
