The Biology paper seemed to have been a soft nut to crack, but Maths paper was the spoilsport on Day 1 of the Common Entrance Test (CET).
While around 25% questions were from I PU, there were about 40 questions from the II year. "About 29 questions were memory based, 25 were tricky but answerable. Only about six questions would have required thorough preparation," said A MD of leading coaching centre.
While there was a mixed reaction about Maths, the majority found it tough to crack.
It's the first time CET is being used for admission to agricultural and veterinary courses, and that's why there are almost 20,000 more candidates taking the Biology paper compared to previous years. The Physics and Chemistry papers will be held on Thursday.
