83.3% need by ISC students to attain a seat in IIT

ISC Students have to score more than 83.3% in board exams to satisfy minimum required to get admission in the premium institute of the India, IIT along with cracking  JEE mains and JEE advanced prior to secure a seat for themselves.

In a first time, IIT council has launched a two-tier admission test. After successfully qualifying the JEE mains, around 1.5 lakhs of students were appeared in JEE advanced which was conducted on Sunday, 2 June 2013. Another mandatory criteria that is necessary to make students eligible for JEE advance is their obtained percentile in boards.

 Only the students attained top 20 percentile will get the opportunity to secure a seat in Indian Institute of Technology.

ISC cut off is greater than the cut off of CBSE and State board. CBSE has decided 78.2% cutoff for IIT aspirants whereas state board cut off is 64.3%. For general category the cut off is 419 out of 500, for SC-378, ST-351 and OBC-397.
