Haryana, UPSC Engg Service's Exams clash

Thousands of engineering service aspirants in Haryana worried lot as the date for Haryana Public Service Commission's Assistant Engineer examination is clashing with that of the Union Public Service Commission's Engineering Services examination. A large number of HPSC Assistant Engineering candidates registered for the exam to be conducted UPSC as well.

The dates for the UPSC's Assistant Engineer examination is from June 28 to June 30, while the HPSC exams are scheduled for June 30. The HPSC exam will be conducted in Panchkula, while the UPSC exam across the country.

HPSC advertised for the Assistant Engineers posts for electrical, civil and mechanical branch a year back and candidates are saying that since the scale of this exam is smaller to that of the UPSC, the exam should be deferred to a later date, thereby giving an opportunity for the Haryana based candidates to appear for both the exams.
