The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the statutory body for regulation of chartered accountants in the country, will hold its campus placement drive from September 10 to 13.
In all, 5,000 candidates, who have recently completed their chartered accountancy, are likely to participate in the placement programme. Some leading companies like Wipro, Madura Fashion and Lifestyle, SRBC & Co. and ITC, are expected.
ICAI, through its Committee for Members in Industry (CMII), organizes campus-placement programmes at 16 different locations in the country. It is held twice a year in August-September and February-March. In 2012, 130 companies participated and 1,500 candidates were offered jobs. In Bangalore, 29 companies were part of the campus drive in 2012 and 194 chartered accountants were recruited.
