JEE Advanced 2018 cut off drop by two marks

Result of JEE Advance 2018 has been declared. Pranav Goyal of Panchkula has topped JEE Advanced 2018 by getting 337/360 marks, which was taken online for the first time. Sahil Jain of Kota has secured second place followed by Delhi’s Nilesh Gupta.

Pranav Score card reads: Physics – 107/120, Chemistry 114/120 and Mathematics 106/120 marks.

The results were declared by IIT Kanpur yesterday in which Minal Parekh of Kota bagged first place among the girls by securing 318 marks out of a total of 360 marks.

JEE Advance 2018 was held on 20th may for filling 11279 seats of IITs. A total of 1.55 lakh students appeared in this exam and 18138 (16062 boys and 2076 girls) have been able to qualify for getting admission to Top engineering institutes of India.

Out of a total of 18,138 candidates:

  • 8794 ----General category
  • 3140 -----OBC category
  • 4709------SC category
  • 1495 -----ST category

The cut-off this year dropped by 2 marks from earlier 128 marks to 126 marks in 2018.  Category wise cut-off is as given below:

  • General Category -------128 marks
  • OBC----------------------114 marks
  • SC/ST/VI----------------63 marks
