Shaheen Talent School - PU College IIT Academy

Shaheen Talent School PU College IIT Academy is primarily a Muslim-Minority private school. Very few seats are offered for non-Muslims. It is managed by Allama Iqbal Educational Society, Bidar, formed in 1989. Large populace of Muslim community is still back ward and underdeveloped. To cover the deficiency of Muslim representation in higher education, the school was established.

PUC is an intermediate course of duration two years. PUC stands for pre-university course. It is also known as PDC (Pre Degree Course), + 2 or Intermediate course.

Facilities

Library - The library has wide range of comprehensive books catering to all students needs.   Apart from academic syllabus books, students have access to scores of competitive examination books.

Laboratories - Labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer science are fully equipped to conduct practical experiments for students at the PUC level. Our well experienced faculties make sure students absorb the essence of practicals.

Hostel – Hostel rooms are well furnished with good ventilation and all basic amenities. Mess is available both for residential and non residential students. Hostellers are provided study hours under the supervision of subject teachers at evening and night. Students health and fitness is maintained through Fitness exercises & yoga sessions conducted on routine basis. The hostel wardens take care of all students need and monitor them 24x 7.

Transportation – The school has a fleet of buses to transport the day scholars and residential students from all parts of Bidar and its interiors.

Academic Support - Shaheen Talent School has association with BASE. BASE is a premier educational services organization in Karnataka, which provides training to students for All India Competitive examinations like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, AIPMT, CET etc. Till date, more students have qualified into IITs from BASE than from all other training organizations in Karnataka, put together.

Edurite provides curriculum based digital content solutions for teachers, students and administrators. Its rich animated graphics engage children in the learning process and help in better understanding and retention of concepts.

Shaheen Scholars Group – Shaheen Scholars' Group (SSG) undertakes the funding of the education of brilliant students from the under privileged sections of the society. The scheme proposes to select and sponsor 100 students from poor households in Karnataka who have secured at least 85% in SSLC 2010-11. The meritorious & financially weak students will undergo a selection test conducted all over Karnataka followed by an interview. The final SSG group of students thus formed will be given two years free intensive Integrated Coaching for PUC along with CET/AIEEE/IIT. The students will also enjoy 100% free hostel facility till the completion of the course.

Achievements

• In CET: 2007, 15 students got free Medical seat and 20 students got Engineering seat in Govt. Colleges.

• In CET: 2008, SHAHEEN created all time district record by securing 59th rank in medical. Altogether 22 students got Govt. Medical seat & 85 students got Engineering seat in Govt. Colleges.

• In CET: 2009, there were five state ranks less than 1000 with altogether 20 students getting Govt. Medical seats and 120 students getting Govt. Engineering seats.

• In CET: 2010, there were four state ranks less than 1000 with altogether 18 students getting Govt. Medical seats & 200 students getting Govt. Engineering seats.
