Jaypee University of Information Technology also known as J. P. University of Information Technology and JUIT. It is a state (private) university in Waknaghat, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India. The University provides education for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level studies and research in engineering and applied sciences disciplines. JUIT was set up by Act No. 14 of 2002 vide Extraordinary Gazette notification of Government of Himachal Pradesh dated May 23, 2002. It is approved by the University Grants Commission under section 2(f) of the UGC Act. The University commenced academic activities from July 2002 onwards.

Library Facilities - The University has well managed and equipped library with its name as Learning Resource Centre JUIT. It is a three floor library about 2500 sq feet of area and is capable of accommodating 500 students at a time to carry out any kind academic activity. It has a collection of reading books and journals, computer programming, software development etc. It is fully linked with JUIT internet and intranet.
Computing Facilities - There are sufficient number of desktops in the academic block available to students in five computer labs along with coloured printers.
Cafeteria - Cafeteria sells a plethora of finger-foods; cater to student need for eatables, stationery, and gift items.
Annapurna Mess - There are two large student dining halls in the University. Food is provided for the students three times a day. Students can also eat outside the Campus in food kiosks and Dhabas by local residents.
Clubs - There are many clubs in the Institute which conduct various activities.

IMST 2009-FIM XVIII Conference - The University hosted the Eighteenth International Conference of Forum for Interdisciplinary Mathematics on Interdisciplinary Mathematical and Statistical Techniques in August 2009. It is hosted in collaboration with renowned faculties from University of South Alabama (USA), University of Wollongong (Australia), Auburn University (USA) and University of Delhi (India).
Conference on Parallel, Distributed and Grid Computing - The University hosted the First International Conference on Parallel, Distributed and Grid Computing in October 2010. The conference showcased keynote speakers as Yale Patt the University of Texas (USA), Christian Scheideler Universität Paderborn (Germany), Rajkumar Buyya The University of Melbourne (Australia), Dietmar Tutsch University of Wuppertal (Germany).
