About Sri Sai University - SSU

Sri Sai University is a University established by an Act, 2010 (No. 3 of 2011) of state legislature of Himachal Pradesh as a State Private University. Government of Himachal Pradesh accorded approval through legislation to establish Sri Sai University Palampur in the year 2010. Its foundation ceremony was performed on 23-09-2009. The university is managed by Sri Sai Education Society. The society also manages Sri Sai Group of Institutes. It is named after spiritual leader Sri Satya Sai Baba. It is a multi-disciplinary and World Class University located amidst the sylvan surroundings of Kangra Valley. Sri Sai University Palampur stands recognized by UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 and is empowered to award degrees. It offers courses in Engineering & Technology, Basic & Applied Sciences, Management and Information Technology, Education, Law, Sports and Pharmacy with a close interaction with industry. The university is in its budding stage and as such various, facilities are being made available on priority basis. The university proposes to start the courses mentioned on the right side of the page, from the academic session 2011-12.
