Eligibility:
a. The Department shall admit a maximum of 30 students out of which 20 seats shall be for Journalism Graduates and another Ten seats shall be reserved for Non-Journalism Graduates.
b. Journalism Candidates: Candidates who have passed the bachelor's degree with 50 percent of marks in the aggregate of all the examinations of the degree in the optional subjects of Journalism shall be eligible for admission.
c. Non-Journalism Graduates: Candidates who have passed the bachelor's degree examination of Bangalore University or any other University recognized as equivalent with 50percent of marks in the aggregate of all the subjects including the languages are eligible as per the Bangalore University rules.
d. In case of SC/ST categories of students the minimum percentage of marks required shall be 10percent less and as per the admission rules of Bangalore University
