Chanakya National Law University is an autonomous National Law University and located in Patna, Bihar. It was established in 2006 by the Government of Bihar (Bihar Act 24 of 2006) as a public university aiming to provide legal education and it is included in section 2(f) & 12(B) of the U.G.C. Act, 1956. The Chief Justice of Patna High Court is the ex-officio Chancellor of the university. The university is spread on 18 acres of land at Nyaya Nagar, Mithapur near Mithapur Bus stand, near Jakkanpur Police Station, Patna. It is affiliated with Bar Council of India.

Hostel Facilities - The University provides good and well set up hostel facilities for the students.
Library Facilities - The University library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources such as CD- ROMs, on-line databases, books, e-journals, reports, thesis etc. It has a collection of more than 7000 Books.
Net Facilities - The University offers good net facilities as it is a part of NKN & NMEICT project of Government of India.
Canteen Facilities - The University has good canteen facilities with nutritious and hygienic vegetarian and non vegetarian food for students.
Recreation Facilities - The University also offers recreation facilities for the students so as to maintain a balance of academic and extracurricular activities.
Anti-ragging Facilities - The University made strict rules against this social evil to maintain disturbance free environment for students.
Chanakya National Law University Achievements
Award for CNLU - The University has been conferred Best Mooter (Female) Award for CNLU in the International Moot Court Competition 2011 held at Amity Law School, Noida.
