Indus International University (IIU) has been established by the Indus International University (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2009. It is set up as a non-profit institution with its primary objective being to provide access to educational opportunities in various subject areas to students in rural India. The IIU is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) vide letter F.No 8-11/2010 (CPP-I/PU) dated 12th July 2010. Indus International University is sponsored by Kartha Education Society (Mumbai) with its mission being to provide quality education and research opportunities in under represented areas which haven't been served by the traditional public universities. And this Society has been active in the field of education having run colleges, schools & other institutions for the past 15 years.
Location - The IIU Campus is situated in VPO Bathu, approximately 5 kms from the town of Tahliwal in Una district. There are both road and train facilities for approaches.

Library - The University has well equipped library spread over 18,000 square feet.
Computer Labs - There are good managed and fully networked computer labs.
Auditorium - The Institute has indoor auditorium with capacity of 250 seats.
Mini Hotels - It is built mini hotel with catering facilities for the Hospitality school.
Net Facilities - The University’s entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled and therefore, it enables Internet access from all parts of the campus.
Anti-ragging Cell - The University has well planned and equipped anti-ragging squad for dealing with ragging incidents in its campus.
