About Indian Institute of Management - IIM Bodh Gaya

Indian Institute of Management, Bodhgaya (IIM-BG) is an Autonomous Public Business School in Bodh Gaya, Bihar. IIM-BG is the 16^th Indian Institute of Management in India. IIM Gaya was announced in 2014 Union Budget by newly formed Government of India. And in January 2015 HRD Minister Smriti Irani cleared proposal for its campus in Bodh Gaya, Bihar. It was established in the year 2015. The 1st batch of Post Graduation Program (PGP) in Management at IIM Gaya started in August, 2015. On 31^st August 2015, HRD Minister Smriti Irani inaugurated academic session at IIM-Gaya. For now, the IIM would run from the distance education directorate building inside Magadh University (MU) premises in Bodhgaya. MU has given 1,500 sqm each on the first and top floors of the two-storied building for running the temporary IIM campus as of 2015. Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is now mentoring IIM Bodh Gaya. Gaya is well connected to Calcutta, Patna, Delhi etc. through a network of road, rail and airways. Gaya is one of the most connected international airports in India.
