Physiology Courses in India, just like their counterparts in other parts of the world deal with the nature of life. Physiology is the branch of the biological sciences which deals with the functioning of organisms. In Physiology, the scientific method is applied to determine how organisms, organ systems, organs, cells and biomolecules carry out the chemical or physical function that they have in a living system. Physiology also forms the basis for disciplines such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacology, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, communication pathology, radio optometry, as well as that of technological studies such as medical technology and clinical technology. Physiologists explore the processes that regulate life. Physiologists use aspects of Anatomy, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Physics to understand the why living systems are designed as they are. In the process, Physiologists make important contribution in areas such as heart disease, reproduction and ageing and global population control.
