Which was the First Institute in India to start Computer Science Education?
Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur was the first Institute in India to start Computer Science Education. It started computer related course in August 1963 on an IBM 1620 system installed. This was India’s first computer classroom. The department still exists and continues to provide excellence in research and teaching in Computer Science.
