Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) PhD Entrance Test 2018 Notification

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for SLIET Entrance Test 2018 to admission in PhD Program for 2018 sessions.

Eligibility Conditions

Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Science / Humanities / Management with 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in relevant disciplines (MCA degree is not eligible for Ph.D.in CSE).

Master’s Degree holders or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment.

A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, must be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently Abled and other categories of applicants as per the decision of the Commission from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1992.

Eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedures.

Application Fee

Admission to PhD programs, the Application Form can be downloaded from the Institute website www.sliet.ac.in.

The duly filled-in Application Form must be submitted alongwith a Fee of Rs.1200/- (Rs.800/- for girls and Rs.600/- for SC/ST Applicants).

The Fee can be deposited by any of the following:

By Cash at Accounts Section Cash Counter at SLIET, Longowal
OR
By Demand Draft (DD) in favour of “DIRECTOR SLIET” payable at Longowal/Sangrur (Demand Draft must be preferably of Central Bank of India OR State Bank of India OR Oriental Bank of Commerce OR Punjab National Bank OR State Bank of Patiala OR ICICI Bank).

3-Year ICD Program- (SET-I): 03^rd Jun, 2018 Sunday 10.00 – 12.30 Hours
Lateral Entry to ICD(2nd Year)(SET-IA): 03^rd Jun, 2018 Sunday 10.00 – 12.30 Hours
Ph.D. Programme (SET-V): 01^st Jul, 2018 Sunday 11.00 – 13.00 Hours
(SET-V for admission to Ph.D. programs shall be conducted at SLIET Longowal only)
Interview for Ph.D.: July 16^th Jul, 2018 Monday 09.00 A.M. onwards
Declaration of Result for MBA & Ph.D: 20^th Jul, 2018 Friday
