Dr.D.Y.Patil Vidyapeeth Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candiadtes for admission into following programme offered at Faculty of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics at sister institutes for 2013.

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Plant Biotechnology
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Animal Biotechnology
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Microbial Biotechnology
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Environmental Biotechnology
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Bioinformatics

Eligibility Conditions

• A candidate having passed post-graduate degree examination from a recognized university, i.e., (M.Sc or M.Tech) degree from any branch of Science (Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Life Sciences/Mathematics) Technology (Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science), Medical, Veterinary, Agriculture Science, Pharmaceutical Science with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks is eligible to apply.

• The downloaded application form along with a demand draft of Rs.5000 (covering form fee+ test fee+ postage) should reach the university office before the last date of submission of form. The DD should be drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of “Registrar, Dr D.Y.Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune” payable in Pune.

Selection Procedure

• The selection of candidates is done based on all India entrance test conducted by DPU Pune.
  
  
• Those who will qualify themselves in the entrance test will have to appear for an interview to be conducted by the university.
