CBSE UGC NET 2018 registrations

Central Board of Secondary Education has started the registration process for National Eligibility Test (NET) 2018 July examination from, March 6.

All the interested candidates can visit the official website of the commission i.e cbsenet.nic.in and follow the instructions given there to apply for the same.

The exam is scheduled to be held on July 8. The exam is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges. CBSE will conduct NET in 84 subjects at 91 selected NET examination cities spread across the country.

Eligibility Criteria:

Education Qualifications:
Aspiring candidates must have acquired at least 55 per cent in master's degree or equivalent examination from a recognised university or institute.

Age Limits:

• For Junior Research Fellowship: The age of the candidate should not be more than 30 years as on July 1, 2018.
• For Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for the post of Assistant Professor.

Application Fee:

• General: Rs 1000
• Other backward classes (Non-creamy layer): Rs 500
• SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: Rs 250

Scheme of CBSE UGC NET 2018:

The exam will consist of two following papers:

• Paper 1 shall consist of 50 questions objective type compulsory questions each carrying two marks. The exam will be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
• Paper 2 shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying two marks. This exam will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.

Note: All the questions of paper 2 will be mandatory, including entire syllabi of earlier paper 2 and paper 3 (covering all electives, without options).

Last date of submission of fee through online generated bank challan, at any branch of (Syndicate/Canara/ICICI bank) or through credit/debit card:

• 6^th Apr, 2018

Correction in particulars of application form on the website:

• 25^th Apr to 1^st May, 2018

• 8^th Jul, 2018
