According to IIT Kanpur, The GATE 2023 exam won't be held in centres like Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Male (Maldives), Port Louis (Mauritius), Singapore (Singapore), and Thimphu.
These cities have been removed from the list of test locations due to "operational issues", according to the institute.
IIT Kanpur earlier on November 28 issued the subject-specific GATE 2023 exam dates. The computer-based mode GATE 2023 will be held on February 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2023.
There will be two shifts for the exam. The first shift will take place from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm in the morning session, and the second shift will take place from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the afternoon session.
In Dubai (UAE) the examination on February 5 (for papers BM, CY, EC, EE, ES, XH) and February 12, 2023 (for papers CE1, CE2, MN and ST) will not be conducted.
The GATE 2023 exam centres list had already been expanded to include the four new Telangana cities. The names of the most recent additions are Adilabad, Kothagudem, Medak, and Nalgonda. Telangana now has 11 cities with GATE 2023 exam centres instead of the previous seven.
