GATE 2023: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering i.e GATE 2023 online registration window will close on September 30. All those interested candidates who have not yet filled out the online form need to fill it now to avoid last minute rush.

The GATE 2023 registration form can be filled out on the official website, the link for which is gate.iitk.ac.in.

The closing date of the extended online registration/application process for GATE 2023 is October 7. The candidates will be able to make modifications to the GATE 2023 application from November 4th to 11th, 2022.

GATE 2023 will be held by the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kanpur. As per the schedule, GATE 2023 will be conducted on February 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th, 2023. Further, the GATE admit cards will be released on January 3.

GATE 2023: How to Register?

• Log on to the official website of GATE 2023 - gate.iitk.ac.in.
• Click on the tab "Log in" on the homepage.
• Enter your enrolment ID and email id.
• Click on login.
• Fill in the online application form.
• Upload all the documents and pay the application fees.
• Click on submit.

GATE 2023: Paper Pattern

Exam mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

Duration:3 hours

Number of subjects (Papers): 29

Type of questions:

• (a) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
• (b) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and/or
• (c) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions

Marking scheme: Questions carry 1 mark and 2 marks

Negative marking:

• For a wrong answer chosen in an MCQ, there will be a negative marking.
• For 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
• Likewise, for 2-mark MCQ, the 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
• No negative marking for Incorrect answer(s) to MSQ or NAT questions.
