The dates of JEST 2019 has been released. JEST is conducted for providing admission to PhD and Integrated PhD courses in:

• Physics
• Theoretical Computer Science or Neuroscience or Computational Biology.

Eligibility Conditions for JEST 2019

Educational Qualification

• For PhD (Physics): Aspiring candidates need to possess a master's degree in Physics.
• For PhD (Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc): Aspiring candidates should possess a master's degree in Science/ Engineering or Technology in Computer Science and related streams.
• For PhD (Neuroscience at NBRC): Should have a master's degree in Physics or Mathematics, apart from it, bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or master's degree in Computer Science.
• or Ph D (Computational Biology at IMSc): Candidate must possess a postgraduate degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Computer Application or Science.
• For B.Sc (Physics/Mathematics): For National Institute of Science Education and Research, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Physics/ Engineering or Technology in Engineering Physics with 60% marks and above
• Integrated MSc/ MTech - PhD (Physics): For Indian Institute of Astrophysics, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Engineering/ Technology.
