GATE 2020 registration date extended to September 28

IIT Delhi has extended the last date for submission of the application form for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 with normal fees to September 28.

Interested candidates can visit the official website i.e gate.iitd.ac.in and follow the instructions given there to apply for GATE 2020 till 6 pm.

GATE 2020 Eligibility Conditions

Educational Qualification
Candidates must be a graduate in engineering and technology. Candidates with a Master's degree in any relevant science subject are also eligible to apply.

Candidates with the below-passing mark in any of the subjects in their qualifying examination will have to upload a copy of mark sheet of the final year, issued from their institute. Internet downloaded mark sheet will not be considered in this case.

Candidates who are expected to finish their courses will have to upload a signed copy of a certificate from the Head of Department of the institute or a copy of the mark sheet.

How to register for GATE 2020?
The candidates need to follow below-given steps to apply for GATE 2020?

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of GATE i.e. gate.iitd.ac.in
  • Step 2: Click on the link 'GATE Online application form'
  • Step 3: Fill up the required details
  • Step 5: Log in using your enrolment id/email address and password
  • Step 6: Fill up the GATE 2020 application form
  • Step 7: Upload the required documents and pay the fee
  • Step 8: Click on the submit button.

  • For Women: Rs 750
  • For SC/ST/PwD: Rs 750
  • For International students: USD 50

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
