NID 2020 Applications: The last date to apply at the National Institute of Design has been extended. According to the new, the last date to submit the application is 18th November 2019 whereas late fees will be charged from 18-21 November 2019. Earlier, NID 2020 application form was supposed to be submitted on November 07, 2019.
National Institute of Design will be conducting the Design Aptitude Test for the B.Des and Graduate Diploma Programme in Design from 29th April to 3rd May 2020, whereas the date for the M.Des DAT 2020 will be released soon.
Eligibility Conditions
For B.Des and Graduate Diploma Programme in Design
Aspiring candidates must have passed or appeared for higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2019-20 in any stream from any recognised board of education.
For M.Des
Bachelor degree of minimum 4-year duration in any specialization, after 12th standard or equivalent to 12th standard from any university or institute, recognised in India. Condition: Applicant must have passed the Bachelor degree examinations at the time of document verification tentatively scheduled in April/May 2020*. OR Bachelor degree of minimum 3-year duration in any specialization, after 12th standard or equivalent to 12th standard. Condition: Applicants must have passed the Bachelor degree examinations before June 2019. OR
Full-time Diploma of minimum 4-year duration in Design/Fine Arts/Applied Arts/ Architecture, after 12th standard or equivalent to 12th standard, from any university or institute recognised by law in India. Condition: Applicants must have passed the Diploma examinations at the time of document verification tentatively scheduled in April/May 2020*.
Note: Applicants in the final year of their Bachelor degree/ Full-time Diploma programme whose universities may not have issued the final degree certificate by the date of application to NID, are eligible to apply, subject to passing all subjects without any backlog. Such a candidate will have to submit/produce Provisional Degree certificate at the time of counselling.
