Rashtriya Indian Military College Entrance Exam 2020 dates announced

Rashtriya Indian Military College has invited applications for the Entrance for admission to VIII Class in the RIMC Dehradun 2020.

In the RIMC, Dehradun only boys are eligible to apply for admission

Eligibility Conditions

Candidate should either be studying in Class VII or passed class VII as on 01^st Jul 2020

Age Limit

The entry of Candidates (Boys only) should be between 11½ years to 13 years as on 01^st January 2021 i.e. they should be born between 02^nd January 2008 – 01^st July 2009

Application Fee

For General Candidates – Rs 600/-
For SC/ST Candidates – Rs 500/-
Demand draft should be drawn in the favour of “COMMANDANT RIMC DEHRADUN”, BRANCH SBI TEL BHAWAN, DEHRADUN BANK CODE 01576, UTTARAKHAND”.

RIMC Exam 2020 Pattern:

The examination consisted of a written test and Viva Voice.

The written examination consisted of three papers English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge Paper. The candidate must attain 50% marks in each of these subjects.
Viva Voice or Interview will commence only for those candidates who have passed the written examination successfully and with minimum 50% marks. Candidates are required to acquire at least 50% marks. Candidates will get information about date and venue by the respective state in advance by the exam conducting authority.

Medical Exam

Those who qualify written examination and interview rounds will go through a medical examination at chosen Military Hospitals and those who are found medically fit will seek admission to RIMC.

Scholarship

There are few states where state Government grant scholarships to the students. Scholarship amount varies between Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 20,000/- annually.

How to Apply?

Candidates can obtain the application form and booklet of old question papers from the Rashtriya Indian Military College.
For this, a self-addressed slip and an account payee bank demand draft of the prescribed application fee should be sent to Rashtriya Indian Military College, Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, Pin code 248003 through speed post.
Now, to fill the application form, the students will have to provide their basic details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, etc.
After filling the details into the application form, the candidates should send it to the respective state governments along with important documents.
Candidates must submit the application advance in time so as to reach before the last date. Late applications will not be accepted.
