CS Foundation Programme to be replaced by CSEET from 2020

ICSI is all set to replace CS Foundation programme with CS Executive Entrance Test as a mandatory qualifying test. There will be four papers i.e

  • Paper 1 (Business Communication)
  • Paper 2 (Legal Aptitude & Logical Reasoning)
  • Paper 3 (Economic and Business Environment) and
  • Paper 4 (Current Affairs, Presentation and Communication Skills).

Students have to take computer-based papers. "An aggregate of 50% and minimum 40% marks in each subject will be the qualifying criteria for CSEET.

Graduates / Post Graduates are exempted from the test and can go for direct registration to Executive Programme. On the contrary, 10+2 students have to qualify the Foundation programme for being eligible for the Executive programme. The first CSEET exam will be held in the month of May and the other three tests will be held in July, November and January.

CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) test pattern?

The online computer-based CSEET test would include:

  • MCQs
  • Audio clips
  • Video clips
  • Descriptive questions

Time of the test

  • The duration of CSEET shall be 135 minutes
  • 120 Minutes for MCQ test
  • 15 minutes for Viva Voce
