Two dozen DU colleges still had vacancies in commerce (general category) even after 5th Cut off list- Delhi University is considering of declaring 6th Cutoff soon.
"In order to fill vacant seats still available for different categories, colleges shall announce sixth and seventh admission lists," said a notification from DU registrar Alka Sharma. The sixth list will be issued on Monday, July 15, and the seventh on Thursday, July 18.
While the sixth and seventh lists will allow colleges to fill seats vacated by candidates moving to the Bachelor in Management Studies course, for which the counselling sessions are on, they will also lead to further movement of candidates between colleges. "We can't stop the movement. If there are withdrawals, we'll have to compensate for them," Hindu College principal Pradyumn Kumar said. However, he thought "it is unlikely" that Hindu will issue sixth cutoffs in any course but he "can't be sure".
