GATE 2016 dates announced

The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore has released the dates for GATE 2016. The exam will be conducted from January 30 to February 7, 2016.

Date of Notificaiton and Start of Application Process:

• 1st Sep, 2015

Last Date for Submission of online application:

• 1st Oct, 2015

Last Date for request for change in the Choice of Exam city:

• 20th Nov, 2015

Availability of Admit card:

• 17th Dec, 2015

Date of Exam

• 30th Jan, 2016 to 7th Feb, 2016  (On Saturdays and Sundays only)
• Forenoon: 9.00 AM to 12.00 Noon
• Afternoon: 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM

Date of Result

• 19th Mar, 2016

GATE  is conducted every year  for providing admission to PG courses at the Master's and Doctoral level across the country, and also to MHRD and other Government Scholarships, Assistantships in Engineering, Technology, Architecture and Science. The score obtained by candidates in GATE is also used by few PSUs during their recruitment.
