According to officials of the Maharashtra higher and technical education department, the MH-CET, will replace JEE Main from 2016, to grant admissions to first year B.E/B.Tech programmes. Last time the exam was last conducted in 2013 and admissions to engineering programmes was done through JEE Main.
Official notification regarding the MH CET 2016 eligibility criteria and application procedure will be released soon at the official website.
Once CET is restored, the government will continue to assign 50 percent weightage to Class 12 scores as well as 50 percent to CET scores, instead of the JEE Main.
