UPSC declares the dates for Civil Services Main Exam 2016

UPSC declared the dates for IAS Main Exam on the official website of UPSC, www.upsc.gov.in. The commission will conduct the Main examination from December 3 to December 9.

The morning session examinations will be held from 9:30 am to 12 noon while the afternoon session examinations will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.

The examinations for the first paper (essay) will be held on December 3.

December 5 (Monday)

• Paper- II General Studies (Paper-I)
• Paper- III General Studies (Paper-II)

December 6 (Tuesday)

• Paper- IV General Studies (Paper- III)
• Paper- V General Studies (Paper-IV)

December 7 (Wednesday)

• Paper A (Indian Language)
• Paper B (English)

December 9 (Friday)

• Paper VI (Optional Paper-I)
• Paper VII (Optional Paper- II)

On December 7, examinations for language papers, Indian languages (Assamese/ Bengali/ Bodo/ Dogri/ Gujarati/ Kashmiri/ Hindi/ Kanada/ Konkani/ Maithili/ Malayalam/ Manipuri/ Nepali/ Marathi/ Oriya/ Punjabi/ Sanskriti/ Santhali/ Sindhi (Devangari/ Arabic script/ Tamil/ Telegu/ Urdu) will be conducted in the morning session.

The examinations for the optional papers will be conducted on December 9.
