The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the official notification for:
- Group 'A' officers (Scale I, II and III) and
- Group 'B' office assistants (multipurpose) in participating regional rural banks (RRBs)

Paper pattern:
- Office Assistant (Multipurpose): The preliminary examination will consist of 80 questions based on reasoning and numerical ability. It will carry a total of 80 marks and will be held for a duration of 45 minutes.
- Officer Scale I: The exam will consist of 80 questions based on reasoning and quantitative aptitude. It will carry a total of 80 marks and will be held for a duration of 45 minutes.
Main exam:
Office Assistant (Multipurpose): The exam will have 200 questions based on five following sections:
- Reasoning
- Numerical ability
- General awareness
- English language, Hindi language
- Computer Knowledge
Officer Scale I: The exam will have 200 questions based on five following sections:
- Reasoning
- Quantitative aptitude
- General awareness
- English language, Hindi language
- Computer Knowledge
Officer Scale II (General Banking Officer): The exam will have 200 questions based on five following sections:
- Reasoning
- Quantitative aptitude and data interpretation
- Financial awareness
- English language, Hindi language
- Computer Knowledge
The exam will be held for two hours.
Officer Scale II (Specialist Cadre): The exam will have 240 questions based on five following sections:
- Reasoning
- Quantitative aptitude and data interpretation
- Financial awareness
- English language, Hindi language
- Computer knowledge
- Professional knowledge
The exam will be held for two hours and 30 minutes.
Officer Scale III: The exam will have 200 questions based on five following sections:
- Reasoning
- Quantitative aptitude and data interpretation
- Financial awareness
- English language, Hindi language
- Computer knowledge
- The exam will be held for two hours.
