B.Sc Applied Biotechnology or Bachelor of Science in Applied Biotechnology is an Under-Graduate Biotechnology course. Biotechnology is a combination of biological sciences, engineering, and technology, where the properties of biological molecules are harnessed for the benefit of humankind. The duration of the course is three years and the syllabus for it is divided into six semesters. During the course depth, knowledge of various topics like Molecular and Cell Biology, Molecular Genetics, Tissue Culture, and core areas of Biotechnology such as Agriculture, Industrial, Medical, and Environmental Biotechnology are studied.

This program will expose the students to basic and applied aspects of the molecular basis of human diseases, animal modeling of human diseases, and allied subjects like molecular biology and developmental biology. The degree course is an important one that opens a lot of career scopes for the applicants after its completion in various fields.

Applied biotechnology is biotechnology with an industry focus with an emphasis on practical skills that allow graduates to pursue jobs in a variety of settings, such as industrial, food, agriculture, environmental, and healthcare.
