B.Sc Zoology and Animal Biotechnology or Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Animal Biotechnology is an Under-Graduate Biotechnology course. Zoology is a branch of biology that is concerned with the scientific study of animals, including their biology, distribution, and identification. Animal Biotechnology is the application of scientific and engineering principles to the processing or production of materials by animals or aquatic species to provide goods and services.

Animal Biotechnology includes the generation of transgenic animals or transgenic fish, using gene knockout technology to generate animals in which a specific gene has been inactivated, the production of nearly identical animals by somatic cell nuclear transfer, or the production of infertile aquatic species. After passing the Zoology and Animal Biotechnology course they can go for further studies.

B.Sc Zoology and Animal Biotechnology Eligibility

  • Aspiring students should have passed 10+2 or any other equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized school board.
  • Some of the very reputed institutes conduct an entrance examination for admission.
