M.Sc. Applied Geography and Geoinformatics or Master of Science in Applied Geography and Geoinformatics is a two-year post-graduate programme. The programme gives you a solid foundation for conducting complex analyses of local, national and global problems on an interdisciplinary basis. It also gives you the opportunity to focus your efforts within a specialised field of geography. You are offered pre-set "competency tracks" that provides you with specialised research-based competencies geared towards special vocational functions. You can work in depth with topics such as urban and regional development, globalization, sustainability, resource management, global environmental and natural processes and applied geoinformatics. After passing the degree course the candidates are able to resolve the conflicts and play an essential part within a multi-cultural world in which understanding, tolerance and sensitivity are fundamental to social and economic well-being and to the good management of our natural environment.
