Geography is the study of the Earth and its lands, features, inhabitants and phenomena. It includes study of factors such as physical features, climate, soil, vegetation, population, land use and industries all over world and their regional differentiation. A person who specialises in the study of Geography is called Geographer. Geography is also a field of science which is dependent on other fields of science as well as contributor to other sciences
The study of geography is divided broadly into two main branches -
1. Human geography - It's area of study includes the built environment and how space is created, viewed and managed by humans as well as the influence humans have on the space they occupy.
2. Physical geography - It's area of study includes the natural environment, climate, vegetation & life, soil, water and landforms and their interaction with each other
