MTech Coastal Management or Master of Technology in Coastal Management is a two-year Post-Graduate Water Resources Engineering course. The Coastal Management program provides a scientifically sound understanding of global, national, and local physical and biological coastal environments and processes, as well as the human behaviours and policies that influence and are influenced by those environments and processes. Coastal management is concerned with the preservation, conservation, and management of coastlines and coastal resources. It is a subset of environmental protection focused on coastal regions. Students learn about the ocean and coastal resources, as well as how they are managed.

There is a focus on comprehending the numerous challenges in the sector, how they interact, and how to effectively manage problems with the utilization of coastal natural resources. Students will also study the legal and institutional aspects of coastal management, as well as the socioeconomic factors that influence management choices. The Master of Technology in Coastal Management program focuses on a particular aspect of coastal management, such as public policy, fisheries management, or resource economics.

MTech Coastal Management Eligibility

  • Aspiring students should have passed their Graduation degrees such as a BE / BTech degree in any relevant subject from a recognized University.
  • The candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent in their Bachelor's.
