Post Graduate Diploma in Radio Diagnosis is a Diploma level Radiography course. Radio-Diagnosis is a branch of medical science, which focuses on the use of radiation, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance as diagnostic, therapeutic, and research tools in medicinal practices. It is related to anatomy, pathology, physiology, and interventional procedures. The programme is aimed at imparting training in both conventional radiology and modern imaging techniques so that the candidate is fully competent to practice, teach and do research in the broad discipline of radiology including ultrasound, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Various institutes have certain terminology related to this diploma course and thus it is sometimes termed as D.M.R.D. (Radiology), Diploma in Medical Radiological Diagnosis, Diploma in Medical Radiodiagnosis, Diploma in Med. Radio Diagnosis and Medical Radio-diagnosis Diploma.
