B.Sc Radiotherapy Technology or Bachelor of Science in Radiotherapy Technology or B.Sc RTT is an undergraduate Radiography course. Radiotherapy, often known as radiation therapy, is the use of ionizing radiation to treat cancer and other disorders.
Ionizing radiation deposits energy that injures or destroys cells in the region being treated (the "target tissue") by destroying their genetic material, rendering these cells unable to develop further. Localized solid tumors, such as malignancies of the skin, tongue, throat, brain, breast, or uterine cervix, may be treated with radiotherapy. It can also be used to treat leukemia and lymphoma, which are malignancies of the blood and lymphatic systems, respectively. After completing the Bachelor of Science in Radiotherapy Technology program and furthering your education, you will have several work opportunities.
