BHU B.Sc Nursing & B.Pharm (Ay.) Entrance Test 2024 - Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducts various Entrance Tests for different courses it offers. BHU Entrance Exam conducted for it's Nursing and Pharmacy Courses is commonly known as BHU B.Sc Nursing & B. Pharm (Ay.) Entrance Test - a Medical Entrance Exam in India conducted after 12th Exams.
1. B.Sc. Nursing Course in the College of Nursing, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi - There are 60 seats; of which 15% (9 seats) are reserved for Scheduled Caste, 7.5% (5 seats) are reserved for the Scheduled Tribes, 27% (16 seats) are reserved for the OBC candidates and the remaining 50.5% (30 Seats) are for the General Category in this academic session i.e. 2010-11. Physically disabled candidates are not eligible for a B.Sc nursing course.
2. B.Pharm (Ay.) - 30 paid seats are available for admission to the first year B. Pharm (Ay.) of Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU at its Rajiv Gandhi South Campus Barakachha, Mirzapur. The distribution of seats amongst the categories is General – 15, OBC – 8; SC – 5, ST – 2.
Note:- 3% of seats are reserved for physically challenged (PC) candidates from each category.

BHU B.Sc Nursing & B. Pharm (Ay.) Entrance Test 2023 was held on-
The candidate should be an Indian National.
A candidate should possess Intermediate / 10+2 or equivalent with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry. Biology) and English from a recognized Board / University with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE) for the General/OBC Category (40% in case of SC/ST category).
Those who are appearing for the Intermediate or equivalent examination but the results are not declared shall be permitted to appear in the Written Entrance Test. However, they will be required to submit original mark sheet of the Intermediate or equivalent examination at the time of counseling to the office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi – 221005, without which their candidature for admission will not be considered.
The candidates should be 17 to 25 years of age on 31st December of the year of examination.
For B.Sc. Nursing course: Candidates who are Indian citizens and who are medically fit in all respects i.e. physically and mentally fit are eligible to apply for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course. Physically challenged (PC) candidates are not eligible for B.Sc. Nursing course.
BHU B.Sc Nursing & B. Pharm (Ay.) The entrance test consists of questions from Physics, Chemistry. Botany & Zoology subjects of +2 level.
Aspiring candidates have to apply and submit online Application Form available in BHU website www.bhu.ac.in/ims. The prescribed Application Form will be available on the website from the specified dates. Applicants have to register to this site in order to access the Application Form.
To register at this site candidate must have a valid email id. Therefore Applicants are advised to open an email account in their name, which is required and is mandatory for registration on the site. After registration to this site, the candidate has to select the B.Sc Nursing Entrance examination Form and fill in details in the respective fields. The procedure for filling up the application form will be provided on the website.
The duly completed filled up application form should be accompanied by entrance examination fee which is:
Online payment of entrance examination fee can be through, Debit card, Credit card, Internet banking or through Challan as per the instruction is given in the website.
BHU B.Sc Nursing & B. Pharm (Ay.) The entrance Test is held during May or June, generally the 3rd week of May. The information about the written entrance test is published in advertisement in newspapers.
Examination Centre, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
The minimum qualifying marks in the Written Entrance Test for admission shall be 50% for the General / OBC Category and 40% for SC/ST Category.
The candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the Written Entrance Test conducted for the purpose.
In case of candidates obtaining equal marks in the Written Entrance Test, their inter se merit shall be decided in the following order:
a) Candidates securing higher marks obtained in the zoology section of the entrance test.
b) Candidates securing higher marks obtained in the Botany section of the entrance test.
c) Candidates securing higher marks obtained in the Chemistry section of the entrance test.
d) Candidates securing higher marks obtained in the Physics section of the entrance test.
e) If all the above happens to be the same, the candidate senior in each would rank higher.
