CUCET 2024 Eligibility Conditions

Educational Qualification

As far as the educational qualification is concerned the aspiring candidate must have passed the Class XII examination from any recognized Board or equivalent.

 

CUET 2024 Syllabus

CUET Consists of questions from the specific subjects of the level of 12th class. The subjects can be of

CUET 2024 Pattern

CUET (UG) – 2024 offers a number of Languages/Subjects and General tests covering most of the subjects/languages offered by most of the Central Universities.

Candidate themselves has to choose the test he is required to appear in, as required for admission to the desired course in the desired University.

CUET (UG) consists of 4 Sections:

  • Section IA – 13 Languages
  • Section IB – 20 Languages
  • Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects and
  • Section III – General Test

Choosing options from each Section is not mandatory. Choices should match the requirements of the desired University.

In Section 1 Out of 13 different languages. any of these languages may be chosen.

In Section 1A There are 20 Languages. Any other language apart from those offered in Section I A may be chosen. (However, a candidate may choose a maximum of three languages combining sections 1A and 1B taken together)

In these sections 40 questions to be attempted out of 50 in each language in 45 minutes for each.

The Language will be tested through Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages– Factual, Literary and Narrative, [Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary]

In Section II - There are 27 Domains specific Subjects being offered under this Section. A candidate may choose a maximum of six (06) Domains as desired by the applicable University/University.

In these sections also there will be 40 questions to be attempted out of 50 in each domain-specific subject in 45 minutes for each.

Input text can be used for MCQ Based Questions · MCQs are based on the syllabus given on the NTA website.

Section III is of General Test, for any such undergraduate program/programs being offered by universities where a General Test is being used for admission. Here 60 questions are to be attempted out of a total of 75 questions in 50 Minutes

Input text can be used for MCQ Based Questions • General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/ algebra geometry/ mensuration /stat taught till Grade 8), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.

CUET 2024 How to Apply?

You can apply for CUET UG - 2022 only through “Online” mode by visiting NTA website: https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/

CUET 2024 Steps to Apply?

Step 1: Registration Form:

  • Register for the Online Application Form and note down the system-generated Application Number. The candidate should supply the required details while filling the Online Application Form and is also required to create a PASSWORD and choose Security Question and enter his/her Answer. After successful submission of the personal details, an application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and will also be required for all future reference/correspondence.
  • For subsequent logins, the candidate will be able to login directly with the respective system generated Application Number and created Password.

Step 2: Application Form:

  • You can log in with the system-generated Application Number and pre-created Password for completing the Application Form including filling up personal details, providing the details of educational qualification, university/program selection, test paper details, choosing the Examination Cities, and uploading the images and documents (if any) Upload Scanned Images of Candidate’s Photograph, Signature, and Category Certificate (if applicable), and PwBD Certificate (wherever applicable):
Some documents required before filling up the Online application form include
  • The recent photograph should be either in color or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
  • The scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible)
  • The size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb
  • The size of the scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb (clearly legible).
  • The size of the scanned copy of the Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc.) should be between 50kb to 300kb in pdf (clearly legible).
  • The size of the scanned copy of the Class X/ Equivalent Certificate should be in pdf between 50kb to 300kb (clearly legible).
  • The size of the scanned copy of the PwBD certificate should be between 50 kb to 300 kb in pdf (clearly legible)
  • Once you have filled out the application form the next step is to pay the Fee.

Step 3: Fee Payment:

  • After completing Step 1 and Step 2, the candidates have to pay the requisite examination fee. The fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, or Paytm Services.
  • The Confirmation Page of the online Application Form will be generated only after successful payment by the Candidate.
  • Download, save and print a copy of the Confirmation Page of the Application Form (which would be downloadable only after successful remittance of fee) for future reference.

 

CUET 2024 Application Fee

Fee Payable by candidates varies depending upon the Category, Number of tests,s and Place of Test Centres

  • For upto 4 tests in Slot 1, it is ₹ 650/- ₹ 600/- ₹ 550/- for General, OBC (NCL)*/ EWS, and SC/ST/ Third gender/ PwBD candidates respectively taking the test in India and Rs.3000 if the test center is out of India And
  • For up to 4 tests in Slot 2, it is ₹ 650/- ₹ 600/- ₹ 550/- for General, OBC (NCL)*/ EWS and SC/ST/ Third gender/ PwBD candidates respectively taking the test in India and Rs.3000 if the test center is out of India.

The fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI, or Paytm Services. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable from the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator.
